Brookfield, the property giant responsible for Wembley and Westfield shopping centre, has appointed Engine agencies Totem and Mandate to launch a revolutionary global sustainability firm.
The new venture, Brookfield Green, brings together the complex skills required to refurbish buildings and meet the increasing demands for sustainability and efficiency from governments and business.
Engine business advertising agency Totem and PR firm Mandate won a two-way pitch with a concept that will launch with a single creative idea through media, digital, events and advertising.
Brookfield Green will launch later this year in the UK, with a rollout to other markets throughout 2011. The creative work will be led by Ian Henderson, founder and creative director at Totem. The PR remit will be led by John Williams, Associate Director at Mandate, and Managing Director of Green Mandate Robert Nuttall.
'Retrofitting commercial property is a market that holds vast potential on a global scale; Brookfield Green is a unique venture that brings together construction, design and engineering disciplines to exploit this opportunity,' explained Ian Henderson. 'Like Brookfield Green, Engine brings the experience, skills and reach the market needs, in one package.'
'The market for retrofitting has great potential but communicating such a sophisticated proposition will be an interesting challenge. We have been aware of the need for a robust communications strategy from the inception of our business plan, and believe that Engine have created and can execute just such a strategy.' Adrian Connor. Operations Director. Brookfield.
